Jesus loves the little children!
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do
not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And He laid His hands
on them..." Matt. 19:14-15

Our commitment to children...
We believe that childhood is the best time for people to receive the
Gospel and experience God through His life-changing power! We believe
that when a child receives Christ as Savior, they receive the indwelling
of the Holy Spirit...the same Holy Spirit an adult receives at
conversion, not a junior version! Children desire to have powerful
encounters with God, even as adults do.
Through Godly content, creative teaching methods, resources, caring
leadership, warm environment and life experiences, our children's ministry
team will equip your child(ren) with a heart-felt knowledge of the Bible & a
deeply personal relationship with God! We believe the scriptures of the
entire Bible are the inspired Word of God and children should memorize as
many as they possibly can! We believe that the Bible is the divine
authority for our faith and our beliefs and we utilize drama, skits, and
role-play to apply the Word practically to their lives. Object lessons often
use fun, inflatable objects ie. telephones, boxing gloves or spacemen, to
puppets and costumes, crafts and even science experiments!
So children are taught all the Christian disciplines such as prayer,
witnessing, learning God's Word, worship, spiritual gifts and more! Our
intent is to present Christ and His church in such a way that firm
foundations are laid and faith is grounded EARLY in life, so that when they
grow up, they are established and firmly rooted in their faith.
Children will learn that God loves them and is their Best Friend. They
will learn that God gave them parents to care for them and teach them... and
that they should obey their parents! Children learn what sin is and that
they can be forgiven. And children learn to show God's love to others!
Our children enjoy field trips to the hospital or nursing homes where
they hand out free flowers to the sick and pray for them! They are taken to
neighborhoods and other special places where they are taught to prayer-walk
and to intercede. They learn to share their faith at school and with their
friends.
Our children's worship team (that's right! children singing and playing
instruments!) lead worship for children and adults, while other children
express their worship in singing, art and dance!
Finally, children's ministry is not complete without parents who partner
with us to teach, train and equip children to do the work of Christ. Our
desire is to come alongside parents to empower them to lead their children
to Jesus throughout their lives!
Spencer- age 10
I really like going to my church and to Kidz Club! Ever since I was
a little kid I have heard of Jesus and that He loves me. I like all my
teachers and I know they love me too. We have lots of fun like playing
games and making crafts. I like learning all the Bible stories too.
Probably what I remember most that I like is when we take flowers to the
hospital. I feel bad for the sick people but I know God can heal them
so I lay my hands on them and pray. I also want my friends at school to
know about Jesus so I had a cell group during recess and I told them
that He loves them and then we pray. I don't know what I will be when I
grow up, but I am sure that God knows so I will do whatever He says to
do.
Zach- age 8
What I like best about God is that He helps me with bad dreams
sometimes. And sometimes when I am afraid. And when I prayed that God
would give me a house and a backyard, He did! And when I pray for my
baby sister to get better, God heals her. I really love God and all the
people at my church!
Hannah - age 5
Once when my momma had a headache I prayed and asked God to heal her
and He did! And when I started kindergarten I missed my mom and God
helped me not be afraid to ride the bus. I like to sing when we have
the Christmas programs. And I really like Kidz Club because I know the
books of the Bible (New Testament) and do lots of fun stuff
like when we dance and waive the streamers!
Cheyenne - age 12
We've only been going to CCF for about 3 years now and now I am
moving up to the youth. But I can tell you that I got saved after we
came to CCF. We never went to church much, maybe special holidays or
occasions. But when my parents started going to church, things
changed! My dad learned that he could lead us to God himself so he sat
me and my twin brother down and told us how Jesus had died on the cross
for our sins and so we prayed and gave our lives to Him! And I have
just loved going to our church! There's always fun stuff to do like
shaving cream wars or having pizza on works days when the whole family
goes up to church to paint or work on stuff! I didn't even know I could
paint, but I love it! I have memorized lots of scripture and now I know
most of the Bible stories like David and Goliath. I read my Bible
almost every night after I get home from school. I can't wait to have
my own cell groups with some of my friends!
Haley - age 7
My mom and dad got divorced when I was a little kid and now I live
with my dad and my step mom (but I call her mom too because I love her
so much!). When I asked Jesus to come into my heart, I really meant
it! And next month I'm finally going to get baptized. I will invite my
mom to come, but I'm not sure if she can make it. I pray for my mom all
the time. My friend Alexis goes with me on Wednesday's to Kidz Club and
we just love it! This summer we kept track of all the chores I did at
home so I could buy cool stuff from the Redemption Center at
church! I am working on memorizing the books of the Bible and I already
have learned a lot of stuff. My teacher thinks I am a good actress so
she lets me act in the skits and I love to sing too! I think God has
made my life really good and has helped my dad to be a better dad too!
Connor - age 9
There's lots of things I love about my church! We do lots of fun
things and I have a lot of friends. After we came to CCF and my dad got
saved, my parents changed and now I do stuff with my mom and dad all the
time. My mom teaches me school and I am so glad because I like science
a lot and we do fun projects at my home. I didn't think I would like
dancing, but I really like it and I think dancing in church is great!
My family sits down together and we talk about a Bible lesson and my dad
teaches me devotions. I love my dad and I thank God for changing our
family!
